Payment is due at the time of your appointment. Credit card and e-transfer are accepted.
Soman is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor. Many extended health plans provide counselling coverage, although coverage varies between plans.
Direct billing is not currently available. A detailed receipt will be provided after each session for you to submit to your insurance provider.

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or unexpected circumstances.

Yes. Virtual sessions are available through a secure platform for clients who prefer the flexibility and comfort of meeting online.

Yes. Sessions are confidential and handled according to professional ethical standards and legal requirements. Confidentiality and its limits will be reviewed during your first session.

Together, you and Soman will identify what support may be most helpful and begin creating a plan that feels comfortable and meaningful.
Standard appointments are booked for 60 minutes. Approximately 50 minutes are dedicated to the counselling session, with the remaining time reserved for clinical notes and documentation. Extended sessions are also available.
Frequency depends on your needs, goals and circumstances. Some clients benefit from weekly appointments, while others prefer a different schedule. This can be decided collaboratively.
No. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. Part of counselling is creating space to explore your experiences and identify what support would be meaningful.
Parent or caregiver involvement may be included when appropriate, while still respecting the importance of creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with the teen.
The level of involvement can be discussed during the initial consultation.
No. Trauma-informed counselling begins by developing safety, trust and understanding. Before beginning EMDR or deeper trauma-focused work, time is spent exploring your goals, understanding your experiences and ensuring that you feel prepared and comfortable.
